At Smooth Aquatics, we take pride in delivering healthy, high-quality aquatic life and aquarium supplies safely to your doorstep. Please review our shipping policies carefully to ensure a smooth experience.

1. Service Areas
Currently, we ship to customers within the United States and Canada only. All prices are listed in USD.

2. Shipping Methods & Timing

  • We use trusted carriers experienced in handling live aquatic organisms.

  • Orders containing live fish, shrimp, snails, or plants are carefully packaged to ensure safe transit.

  • Standard shipping times vary based on location but typically take 2–7 business days.

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Delays caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses are the buyer’s responsibility.

3. Live Organisms

  • Live aquatic life is shipped Monday through Thursday to avoid weekend transit and reduce stress.

  • Each shipment is packaged with temperature control and oxygenation to ensure the best chance of survival.

  • Orders will only be processed and shipped when weather conditions are safe for live organisms.

4. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and method.

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the shipment is lost or compromised due to an error on our part.

5. Guarantee & Claims

  • We guarantee that all live aquatic organisms will arrive alive and healthy.

  • If any organisms arrive dead or compromised, contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We may request photos to process a replacement or refund.

  • Refunds or replacements will cover the cost of the lost organism and the applicable portion of the shipping cost.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure someone is available to receive the package on the scheduled delivery date.

  • Prepare an appropriate habitat prior to receiving live organisms.

  • Never release captive aquatic organisms into the wild.

7. International Shipping & Import Regulations

  • Buyers importing across borders are responsible for all import regulations, permits, and associated fees.

  • Buyers act as the importer of record and are responsible for compliance with all laws in their location.

8. Damaged or Delayed Shipments

  • Smooth Aquatics is not liable for delays caused by weather, carrier issues, or natural disasters.

  • Any claims for lost or damaged shipments must be reported promptly following the instructions provided in your shipping confirmation.

9. Changes to Shipping Policy

  • Smooth Aquatics reserves the right to update or modify this shipping policy at any time without prior notice.
