Aponogeton Boivinianus

Aponogeton boivinianus is a large, striking bulb plant from Madagascar often used as a centerpiece in freshwater aquariums. It produces long, broad, bright to dark green leaves with a slightly crinkled or textured surface.

This plant grows quickly under moderate to high lighting and prefers a nutrient-rich substrate. It can reach impressive sizes, making it best suited for medium to large tanks. Like other Aponogetons, it may go through a natural dormancy period where leaves die back before regrowing.
