Blue Dream Shrimp
Blue Dream Shrimp is a freshwater dwarf shrimp known for its vibrant, solid blue coloration. It is a selectively bred variety of the species Neocaridina davidi and is highly sought after in aquariums for its striking, uniform blue tone.
This shrimp typically grows to about 2–3 cm (around 1 inch) in length and has a slender, segmented body. Its deep blue color covers most of the body, legs, and tail, making it stand out against plants and dark substrates. The color is usually more intense in high-grade specimens, giving them a bright and eye-catching appearance under aquarium lighting.
Blue Dream Shrimp are peaceful, active scavengers, constantly grazing on algae, biofilm, and leftover food. Their hardy nature, attractive color, and ease of breeding make them a popular addition to planted aquariums and shrimp tanks.
