Blue Rili Shrimp
Blue Rili Shrimp is a small freshwater dwarf shrimp known for its distinctive blue and transparent body pattern. It is a selectively bred variety of the species Neocaridina davidi.
This shrimp usually grows to about 2–3 cm (around 1 inch) in length and has a slender, curved body with a segmented shell. Its most notable feature is the “rili” pattern, where parts of the body are colored while other sections remain clear. Typically, the head and tail are bright to deep blue, while the middle section of the body is transparent, creating a striking contrast.
Blue Rili Shrimp are peaceful and active scavengers, often seen grazing on algae, biofilm, and tiny food particles on aquarium plants, rocks, and substrate. Their unique coloration and hardy nature make them a popular and attractive addition to freshwater aquariums.
