High Grade Cherry Shrimp - Fire Red Grade
Fire Red Cherry Shrimp is a high-grade freshwater dwarf shrimp known for its intense, solid red coloration. It is a selectively bred variety of the species Neocaridina davidi and is considered one of the highest color grades of red cherry shrimp in the aquarium hobby.
This shrimp usually grows to about 2–3 cm (around 1 inch) in length and has a slender body covered by a smooth, segmented shell. Its defining feature is its deep, opaque fire-red color, which covers almost the entire body, legs, and tail. In high-quality specimens, the red pigmentation is very dense and uniform, with little to no transparent areas.

High Grade Fire Red Cherry Shrimp thrive in stable, well-established aquariums with clean water, gentle filtration, and plenty of plants or moss for grazing and hiding. Their intense solid red coloration develops best with high-quality nutrition, stable water parameters, and low-stress planted environments.
Fire Red Cherry Shrimp are peaceful, active scavengers that spend most of their time grazing on algae, biofilm, and tiny food particles on aquarium plants, rocks, and substrate. Because of their brilliant color, hardy nature, and ease of breeding, they are a very popular choice for freshwater planted aquariums and shrimp tanks.
